The First Customer Quest
Let’s get our first customer! We'll create a plan to attract our first clients, practice selling online and offline, and design a captivating flyer for our business. Students will also have the chance to propose a funding plan and receive real startup funds!
Perfect Pitch
Ready to wow the crowd? We're tuning our business pitches to strike the right chord with customers and investors. We'll train, tweak, and perfect, until we're ready to steal the show on demo day.
Demo Day
Time to shine in front of our guest judges and experts from various fields. Students will showcase their business idea and get invaluable feedback from industry experts. Plus, the top groups will be selected for further investment. As we wrap up, they'll get the chance to ask those burning questions about the areas of business they're most excited about.

What Can You Expect at BETA Camp Junior
Learning about Field of Business
Students will learn what a business is, roles in the business world, and launch a small business of their own
Exposure to Different Roles
In the first 4 weeks, kids take on marketing, business operations, and finance challenges to experience the day to day of marketers, project managers, consultants, and investment bankers.
Launching their own business
Kids spend a month launching and monetizing their first small business while learning ideation, sales, and pitching along the way to Judges

If your child is already tinkering with different ideas and talks about money or want to learn about business. This is a good starting point. Our program directors will further help you with this in our interview call.
Yes.
BETA Camp Jr is fully online and conducted through live interactive workshops with our, program directors, mentors and instructors.
From the start, we intentionally designed BETA Camp Jr to be fully virtual for 3 reasons:
1. You can work with instructors from the world’s top companies to get exposure and discover careers outside of of your local community.
2. Students meet and work with likeminded peers from around North America and the world. Being able to work across cultures with people from different backgrounds is a skill all employers look for. Our students love that they can be in Toronto and work with team members in California, Ecuador or England!
3. Tech-enabled learning is better than offline learning. With the internet, the world is at your fingertips. We use remote work tools instead of what's available for their online school. For example, we use https://miro.com/app/ for collaborating. It's so much better than pen and paper or a whiteboard. Students can use templates, color code, set timers to vote for the best ideas, paste in information from elsewhere on the internet. When used properly, an online environment is more engaging and effective for learning.
Not at all! Students are not expected to have a startup idea or a team upon joining. BETA Camp Jr guides you through the process of ideation and using design thinking principles to narrow down the opportunity area and problem you want to tackle. Teams will be formed during the program. Students choose their teams and / or based are matched with a team based on personality, skillset, and interest by BETA Camp Jr staff.
